At Viveka Foundations the CBSE curriculum is tailored with a multi-dimensional, child centric approach, which is both interactive as well as pragmatic. The Academic year is from APRIL to MARCH. The session is divided into two terms. The first starts from April – September and the second term from October- March. The school has classes from Play Way to XII std.

At the Play Way Level

At the Play way level, children adapt themselves to a new setup away from their home environment. A well-balanced curriculum and theme-based instruction help the young minds integrate their learning smoothly. Here learning takes place through various activities. The emphasis is on exploring, knowing, understanding and forming their ideas.

At the Primary Level

VFS encourages inquiry and exploration, and develops children's competence in various skills - reading, writing, listening, speaking, problem-solving, observation, measurement and use of information and communication technology.

Middle and Secondary level

Exposure to different aspects of life:
Holistic education encompasses the development of the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. It is imperative that students are provided with the opportunity for the development of each of these domains. VFS curriculum is designed to ensure this.

  • NCERT prescribed curriculum is followed.
  • The focus is on providing an opportunity to learn through everyday experiences.
  • Projects are planned to integrate knowledge and skills acquired by students in various subjects and serve as a concrete step towards developing inter-disciplinary approaches in later years.
  • Foreign Languages are introduced at this level.
  • A platform is provided for the development of the latent potential and capacity of every individual. The teacher as a co-learner follows a pragmatic methodology that kindles the desire and quest for knowledge as well as the urge to excel.

Senior Secondary Level – Exposure to Different Facets of Life

As per the latest developments and CBSE guidelines, the students can opt for a unique combination of subjects which will help them in a long way to pursue various careers and avenues at national and international platform.
Our “Holistic approach” within the ambit of CBSE makes it possible for us to serve our Senior Secondary students with a wide spectrum of subjects to choose from, including English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Computer Science, Political Science, Psychology, Geography, Entrepreneurship and Physical Education.

  • Our methodology assists the learner to infer, deduce and generalize information for adapting in a real life situation.
  • The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Curriculum prescribed by CBSE is followed.
  • The focus is also on the preparation of the students for competitive examinations.

Day Boarding ( Not Compulsory )
It has been introduced with the aim of handling complete academic work, which does away with the concept of ‘Home work’ and ‘Private Tuition’.
Remedial Teaching
Classes are also held for the students who are in need. For that special teaching, faculty is appointed on a regular basis & time table is framed accordingly.
