" *TAGDA RAHO: A Grand Celebration of Sports and Spirit at Viveka Foundations* "

*Viveka Foundations Sr. Sec. School*, Mansimbal, celebrates its *15th Annual Sports Meet* with great enthusiasm on 2nd October 2024, under the theme *"TAGDA RAHO...!!!"* The school, committed to the holistic development of its students, ensures that every child participates in a variety of activities, fostering teamwork and self-confidence.

The preparations for this event lasted around 10 days, during which students from all classes participated in a variety of sporting events, including 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races, as well as hurdles, long jump, and shot put competitions. Even the youngest students showed their athletic spirit by engaging in fun events such as the sack race, umbrella race, and rabbit race.

The *Annual Sports Meet* kicked off with a flag hoisting ceremony, led by the Honorable school Chairman, "Col. S.S. Rana", School's founder Principal & Director, "Mrs. Kusum Rana", The school’s Principal, "Dr. Shalini Singh", along with all the esteemed guests, and Following the flag hoisting, the Sports Captain, Arsh, lit the torch, signaling the start of the annual sports festival. The ceremony continued with an impressive march-past by the NCC cadets, and students from the four school houses put on unique performances. The *Skating Club* not only dazzled the audience with their artistic skills but also paid a moving tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on this special occasion. Their heartfelt performance, symbolizing peace and non-violence, brought an emotional wave over the guests, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Additionally, the *Yoga Club* displayed their flexibility through intricate pyramid formations, The school boarders also gave an excellent performance, showcasing their diverse skills and talents, reflecting the school’s emphasis on nurturing talent in all areas.

The *Karate Club* also demonstrated self-defense techniques, highlighting the importance of personal safety. All the esteemed guests and parents lauded these remarkable performances.

In addition to the students' participation, the event also honored the parents and grandparents of our students, who actively took part in various fun-filled activities such as musical chairs and tug of war. This initiative was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bond between the school and families, further promoting a sense of community and togetherness.

The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony, where students were honored for their sporting achievements. Awards were presented for the *Best House*, *Best NCC Troop*, and *Best Marching Contingent*. The *Col. Robertson's Rolling Trophy* was also awarded to the most deserving marching contingent.

Finally, the victorious participants received certificates, medals & momento's as a mark of recognition for their efforts. The school's management committee was praised for their hard work, with a special mention of Viveka Foundation School’s unique identity within Kangra district. The event concluded with the sports teacher handing over the school flag to the principal, bringing the *Sports Meet* to a successfu in close.
